Exciting, easy, fun and cheerful
This was my first 10K race within my local town and I very much enjoyed it.
Everything was set up and organised very well by the event organisers, the route was lovely and simple, besides the occasional up climb parts.
The road was relatively quiet with barely any cars but can’t be helped when they did come.
Convenient water stations on route, enough toilet facilities and food and drink at the start point.
The whole day brought such a great atmosphere!
I would definitely come again next year.

Well organised and plenty of Marshalls to make everyone was on the correct route.
Just a brilliant day out enjoyed by all
Lauren Martin
Nice route. Some tweaks needed.
Lovely route & friendly marshals.
Medal is a nice upgrade from previous years.
Route needed some more atmosphere on way round. The roads were also not closed so got stuck behind 2 cars trying to get past each other which cost some time in the race and unnecessary walking so road closures would be better next time.
Need to come all runners on the left as ran into a few people by changing from keeping right to keeping left.
Would do again

Up down course on roads but organised well
Pleaaaaaaseeeee don't let cars drive on the running course! Had to stop for a car and had to sprint around one, really dangerous and just ruins the vibes!!! Course wasn't my fave going onto the bypass either, don't know if it can be changed?

Flat and fast
The start could have been better. By calling the faster runners to the front to ease congestion in the first few kilometres
Alfie Lismore-Pope
Great race but a few minor improvements
Great race but would be nice for it not to be an out and back like the previous version of the event. Apart from that all was well ran

Basic race mirrored in the price
Plus
Good venue, easy to park, great marshals, great medal, juice boxes a nice touch.
Minus
Chaotic start (why weren't runners called in by expected finish time? I got trampled and shoved as it was just a free for all), not much support on route which isn't great for back of the pack runners and (the worst one) when I crossed my arms to a photographer just after mile 10 (universal sign for 'don't take my photo'), he ignored me and took them any way, I asked him to stop and he told me "perhaps I should have stayed at home". I mean..?? What if I'd been a DV victim, can I not run a race without a choice of having my picture taken at any point?. He was so rude. Even parkrun volunteer photographers know what the crossed arms mean.
I drove 90 mins each way as a friend had recommended the race but that soured it for me.

Brilliant course and atmosphere!
Great new course and Wembdon Green was brilliant venue.

My first Half, but I will return if at The Green
Friendly and accommodating to athletes and novices (as I).
Everything from parking, registration, route and finish was easy and stress free. Leaving me to do the do what I arrived for.
Thank you all for a brilliant job done very well
Joanne Dare
Good route, nice and relaxed route.
Didn't get given a medal at end. Went back to collect. Water stations were good, helpful volunteers.
Lee Mallett
Amazing!
This was my first half marathon, event was so easy to find where to go and once you arrived, route was marshalled on pretty much every corner, all shouting compliments and encouragement.
Lisa Moule
Lack of toilets at the venue which is so important for runners apart from this it was a good route apart from those 2 killer hills !!!
The medal is great very good quality and definitely an upgrade from last years plastic one.
Chris Hamilton
Generally good, but some improvements needed.
Portaloos needed at the start.
Water bottles not cups would be much better. Cups were often only third full. Could not get enough water.
No marshall or arrow on key turn near the end (marsahall 33?).
Rachel Stark
Excellent event
What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday in September. Wonderful volunteers. Great new route. Well organised. Will definitely run it again!
Hazel Mudd
standard half marathon
Was really not happy to find that the 15k water station had run out of water, would have been nice to have something at the finish like a banana, the course wasn't very inspiring as it just running down the side of a lot of main roads, some parts weren't marked well, and some marhsalls had packed up and left. But at least there was a good medal.

Was was not as advertised
Course provided on joining instructions was not anywhere near the same as actual route. I’m afraid it isn’t good enough for a licensed event. The actual course was perfectly good, but people looking to manage how they run a race (ie where and how long climbs are), it is not really good enough. Sorry to be so harsh. Other than that, great venue, freindly Marshalls and good value.
Judy Davies
Brilliantly organised.
More toilets needed.
