Bridgwater Half Marathon, 10k & 5k 2026

Experience one of Somerset's most popular running events with a brand-new route for 2026. Whether you're chasing a personal best, taking on your first race, or enjoying a fun run with family and friends, there's a distance for everyone.

Starting and finishing on The Green, Wembdon, runners will enjoy a scenic journey through the beautiful Somerset countryside, passing through Wembdon, Cannington, Comwich and Chilton Trinity. The route offers a predominantly flat profile, with just a few more challenging sections to keep things interesting.

Run in support of Cancer Research UK and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere created by our volunteers, local communities, spectators and fellow participants.

Race Routes

Half Marathon (13.1 Miles)

• Brand-new course for 2026.
• Starts and finishes on The Green, Wembdon.
• Scenic rural route through Wembdon, Cannington and Stogursey before returning via Chilton Trinity.
• Predominantly flat course with a small number of more challenging sections.
• England Athletics certified with official chip timing.
• Ideal for both first-time half marathon runners and experienced athletes looking to achieve a personal best.
• Minimum age: 17 years.

10k

• Enjoy a shorter version of the Half Marathon route.
• Rural Somerset scenery and excellent spectator support.
• Suitable for runners of all abilities.
• Official chip timing.
• Minimum age: 15 years.

5k Fun Run

• Open to runners, joggers and walkers of all abilities.
• Perfect for families, beginners and those wanting to be part of the event atmosphere.
• Fancy dress is encouraged.
• Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Event Village

The event village will be located on The Green, Wembdon, providing an excellent base for runners and supporters alike.

Facilities include:
